Frontiers in Legume Research Symposium - in memoria of Adam Kondorosi

Members of the team participated in this symposium in Gif-sur-Yvette close to Paris. A nice, small and very interactive meeting.

Frontiers in legume symbiosis - A symposium in memory of Adam Kondorosi, which will be held in Gif-sur-Yvette (Paris, France), on December 13-14, 2012.

121212_frontiers_symposiumAdam Kondorosi, who died in January 2011, has been for about three decades one of the world-wide leading scientists in the field of plant-microbe interactions, and more particularly in the Rhizobium-legume symbiosis. Adam has been the founding director of the Institut des Sciences du Végétal in Gif-sur-Yvette which he has developed ex nihilo into an internationally renowned research institution in plant biology. In this symposium, the organizers brought together some of his long-standing colleagues as well as new actors in the field to create a scientific event that is at the forefront of the Rhizobium-legume field and that certainly would have pleased Adam.
